Why Choose VedAroma Essential Oils?
A
romatherapy is one of the most popular complementary therapies. The effectiveness of essential oils used for therapeutic purposes depends on the purity of the oils. When the oils are completely pure, produced without the use of chemicals and not combined with any synthetic products, the energy, aroma, and benefits of the oils are greatly enhanced.

Highest quality is assured when oils are produced according to organic standards. Even though the demand for organic quality essential oils is growing, they have been difficult to obtain for a number of reasons.

Producing pure organic essential oils requires more time and involves greater risks, so this is only practised by a relatively few small family enterprises.

The distillation process is also crucial to the quality of the oils. If an essential oil is distilled too quickly (at high pressure, high temperature), many of these precious elements are lost. In the organic process, slow distillation at lower temperatures ensures the maximum retention of active components in the oils, which contributes to their special aromatic and therapeutic effect.

VedAroma offers an outstanding selection of not only organic, but certified organic essential oils, exceptional in their purity and high quality. They are derived from plants that are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, pesticides, or fungicides, and they are distilled slowly and under low pressure to ensure maximum potency and effectiveness.

Some of our essential oils are “certified organic wild crafted”, that means derived from wild-grown plants, and harvested and distilled according to certified organic regulations, and some are from wild grown plants, which may be produced in larger quantities (e.g. Eucalyptus, Tea-tree, Siberian pine, etc.) but have not undergone chemical treatment.

Some plants are not suited to the distillation process, because they lose aroma, properties, or yield. In these few cases, the oil from the organic plant material may be obtained by solvent extraction. The final product from this process is known as an Absolute.
