You can enjoy essential oils in aroma lamps, humidifiers, for a relaxing or revitalizing massage, in a full bath or a foot bath, for compresses, for inhalations, gargles, chest rubs and much more. |
But the professional therapeutic use of essential oils is not the only way to experience the harmonizing and healing effects of essential oils. Already their playful use in aroma lamps in our home or their use as natural perfumes enhance our joy of life, bring harmony and balance, increase our immunity, and enliven our body’s self-healing mechanisms. Essential oils can be used in many ways: you can enjoy them in aroma lamps, humidifiers, for a relaxing or revitalizing massage, in a full bath or a foot bath, for compresses, for inhalations, gargles, chest rubs (very good in case of colds) and much more. The most effective and health-promoting way to diffuse essential oils into the air is the micro-diffusers or atomizers. These are air pumps with a special glass funnel construction which diffuse the essential oils in a micro-fine vapour into the air and create negative ions, which purify the air and kill all bacteria. A few minutes of diffusion are enough to fill the whole room with a pure, healthy and pleasantly fragrant air. You can for instance enjoy the enlivening effect of the fir oils, rosemary, lime or lemongrass in the morning; ginger, bergamot or cardamom at lunch time to improve your appetite; peppermint, coriander or fennel to support your digestion; orange, neroli, rose, geranium, jasmin, bergamot, lavandin to relax and uplift; rosemary, peppermint or basil to dispel fatigue and for mental clarity; fir, spruce and pine oils to revitalize and strengthen; tea tree, eucalyptus and thyme oils to support respiration; neroli, mandarin, petitgrain, marjoram, spikenard or vetiver to calm down; sandal-wood, frankincense and myrrh for meditation; and lavender to help to fall asleep. Or add a few drops of a stimulating essential oil like rosemary into your massage oil in the morning, and a few drops of a calming, relaxing essential oil such as lavender, rose, or sandal-wood in the evening; or a few drops of roman chamomile for a tummy massage or compress . There are innumerable possibilities to enhance your physical, mental, and emotional well-being with aromatherapy in an easy and pleasant yet profound way. You will feel what is good for you, and what you like best usually gives the best results. It is a self-referral experience. (More...)
